Marco Gutierrez, MD, operates a family Practice in his hometown of Alamo and McAllen, realizing his lifelong goal to provide quality and compassionate healthcare.
Graduating from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas, in 1992, Dr. Gutierrez returned to the Rio Grande Valley, completing his residency from the University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center in McAllen, Texas. This experience has provided him the opportunity to focus on healthcare issues unique to our community.
In private practice since 1995, Dr. Gutierrez clinics in Alamo and McAllen focus on patient wellness and preventive medicine. His patients are encouraged to enter a partnership with his practice in the management of their healthcare, taking a proactive approach in maximizing their overall wellbeing. This approach, coupled with positive patient rapport, earned Dr. Gutierrez the distinction of being voted the 2007 “Physician of the Year” by The Monitor readers.
Putting something back into the community, Dr. Gutierrez has supported students in their pursuit of academic and athletic endeavors. Other organizations benefitting from his support include Boys and Girls Club, Easter Seals, Rio Grande Valley Food Bank, and the Palm Valley Humane Society.
